That is a "Tomism". Sometimes it means that you literally get lucky. Like when you spend the weekend snowboarding and the air is crisp, the snow is firmly packed and all the other winter sports addicts are at the mall doing their Christmas shopping. Or when you take a picture like this one and it comes out as good as you remember it in your mind.
But sometimes it means that the circumstances that have brought you to that exact moment in time have to be honored because you wouldn't have wanted the outcome any other way. Jamie reminded me that Tom, at Thanksgiving dinner said "Sometimes you just get lucky". That was for Jeff. But honestly, how can you look at these pictures of our family and not all feel lucky?
